kamal pandya

Hi Kamal Pandya,

Dandruff could be due to the extreme weather conditions. Take 50 gm of Amla powder + 5 ml of fresh lemon juice + 1 egg white + 25 gm of fresh curd – Apply as pack followed by warm water wash after 15 – 30 minutes. This head pack is very effective in removing the dandruff and strengthens the hair roots and nourishes the hairs.

Drink good amount of water, add greens, vegetables and fruits especially curry leaves, coriander leaves soup helps to improve the calcium and vitamin assimilation in the body.

Avoid foods and drinks with vinegour, fast foods and drinks and increase the protein and milk intake for long and sustaining results.

Dear Dr. Gowthaman,

I am a married 30 years old woman. I got married in June 2010 and since January 2011 my menstrual cycle started showing irregularities. In Nov 2011 I was diagnosed with POF.

I am undergoing Ayurvedic treatment since Jan 2012. I completed one session of Virechan in March 2012 and ayurvedic medication is in progress. There is no specific diet that I follow. I have been told by the doctor not to consume dairy products except milk and avoid high protein diet.

In Jan 2013 I got my menstruation back after a delay of 1.5 years and I hoped that it would get regularized now. But it’s being 2 months now but there are no signs of menstruation. I am really frustrated and not sure what to do. I am worried if my menstrual cycle will return back or not and will I be able to ever conceive or not.

I need your expert views and guidance to know whether my menstrual cycle will return back or not and would you advice any ayurvedic treatment for it.

Below are my hormonal test results conducted in last one year. Hoping for a response from your end. Thanks in advance.

Saie Rahul

Hi Saie,

Please check your AMH – Anti-Mullerian Hormone and HB and Vitamin D levels. All these three even though looks directly not connected with the Mc, but plays significant role in Ovam formation and cycle. In my practice i always recommend my patients check these levels before advising any medicines. Unless the deficiency of these corrected the problems may not be solved. Some women especially perfectionist in nature experience this due to mounted psychological stress. Stress do play a vital role in irregular menstruation.

Take a holistic approach with diet, yoga and Ayurveda medicines and therapies. Surely it will help. Please write back with the above test results.

I have been diagnosed with Vitamini D deficiency. I have pain in chest which comes and goes away. I also had panic attack two times. Also, faced sweating and heart palpitation
once.
Please suggest what should be done to increase Vitamin D intake and cure myself completely.

Hi Kanika,
Ayurveda medicines and therapies plays a vital role. The best remedy is sun light. Dont stand in hot sun light for Vitamin D. Early morning and late evening sun light and Cod Liver capsules helps in Vitamin D assimilation. Drumstick leaves soup too helps. Non vegetarian soups, less salt in diet, Ayurveda therapies like pizchil, Navara kizhi etc can improve the condition in swift time. Vitamin D shots are the easiest ways to assimilate Vitamin D.

Respected Doctor Sahib,

Good Day!

Rohtak.

Hi Rohtak,

Reduce your weight. Add physical exercise in your life style. These are only things can improve your blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Improving your lifestyle by adoption of ethical elements mentioned in ‘Achara Rasayana’ is must if you really want to stay away from mental and physical stress and from eventual hypertension. It is certain that stress can cause hypertension. Anxiety, secondary to acute stage can cause rise in your blood pressure. Relaxation and removal of stress will help to lower mildly elevated levels of blood pressure.

Yoga and Breath Therapy:

Research has shown that regular practice of Yoga and Breath Therapy controls high blood pressure. Panchakarma: (Ayurveda detoxification therapy) Niruha basti Chikitsa: (non unctuous enema) will be beneficial in hypertension and should be given by experienced physician. Dhara therapy is also helpful in treating obstinate cases of hypertension. Oil processed with bala (sida cordifolia) and milk is allowed to drop in small droplets on the forehead of the patient.

Dear Sir,
I came across your discussion in Sify.com.

My Name is Divyaprakash working as HR. I am 29 years old, height 6.2 but weigh very less of 60. Tried lot of nutrients & protien food to gain weight but all in vain. I eat healthy & have proper food but still not able to put on.

Kindly suggest me to gain weight at least about 70 for my height. Any effective food available which will make me reach that mark.

Awaiting your response at the earliest.

Hi Divya Prakash,

Aswagandadi Lehyam 1 tablespoon in empty stomach and bed time followed by warm milk. Ayurveda recommends therapies like Pizchil and Navara kizhi. Add vegetable proteins, and plan a balanced diet. Drink 3 liters of water and planned exercises can improve weight and muscle masses in no time. I would recommend you to consult a near by ayurveda physician and get a personalized plan with Ayurveda medicines and therapies, Yoga and diet. With out an holistic approach the treatments may not be that effective.

Dear Doctor,

I am 42 years of age. I am trying to conceive from past three years. I have uterine fibroids anterior 3cm and 2 cm on left lateral posterior myoma and many more less than 2 cm size. They are not subserousal fibroids. Will it be a problem to conceive? Is there any Ayurvedic treatment to get pregnant or infertility and also get rid of these
fibroids and ovarian cysts.

Thanks
