What is the remedy if the skin becomes too dry?
Anil

Hi Anil,

Thanks for the comments. Coconut oil is the best moisturizer. External application of Maha Thiktakam gritam followed by warm water wash after 30 minutes helps dry skin.

4. I used to develop mouth ulcers in the 1980s. It used to get cured with a cortisone cream from UK. I did not have relapes since 2000.I came to UK in Sept. 2010 and since then developed lichen planus / mouth ulcer in my mouth again. Despite several years medication in Guy’s Hospital, UK there was no cure.Twice, biopsy was also done at Royal Berkshire Hospital. Some 6 months back, my husband browsed the net and saw some personal experiences of person getting cured / part -relief with various home remedies. At that time my husband’s elder brother , a GP, suggested that I use Munaca honey from New Zealand. It took only two bottles ( 2 x 500 gm.@ £ 8 each) of the honey application to cure the mouth ulcer. Only a small patch is remaining. It is not paining. Since last 3 months I started hair fall in large quantity. Today the dermatologist at Windsor told it is due to lichen planus in the head – a rare occurrence. He has given some medication which is yet to be issued. He said the lichen planus destroys the hair follicles and hair cannot grow again. Please advise me URGENTLY on a suitable Ayurvedic treatment for me and how to grow the hair again.

With regards,
Yours sincerely
Pushpa Madhu

Hi Pushpa,

Please take 20 ml of Maha Thiktakam gritam – melt it and fill it in the mouth and leave it for 30 minutes followed by warm water gargle. This will heal and prevent the mouth ulcers.

For Skin, take Aragwadadi Kashayam + Manjishtadi Kashayam each 15 ml + 60 ml of warm water twice daily 30 minutes before food with Gandhaka (101) heals the hair problem.

External application of Amla powder mixed with Curd followed by warm water wash after 30 minutes heals and stops the hair problems completely.
