1. I have straight long hair with oily scalp. please suggest me a shampoo and a conditioner which would best suit my hair type.
Use any shampoo for oily scalp. Use the same conditioner. Make sure to wash haie with normal or cold water. Do not use hot water. You could also use a shampoo with salicylic acid once a week to educe the oiliness.
2. Hi, myself 30 yrs old,brown spots appear on my cheeks after delivery.i had taken chemical peels treatement earlier but still it persists.I had used kojivit oint. aiso…..plz suggest me.
Hi Dr Sarika, You should avoid sun exposure as well as fragrance based cosmetic products since both could aggravate the pigmentation. A mint based moisturiser with sunscreen will hydrate your skin and protect you from sunlight. Take vitamin C supplements daily.Vitamin C is not only a powerful antioxidant, it also inhibits an enzyme called tyrosinase which is essential for the formation of the melanin pigment. At bedtime, you may apply a combination of retinoic acid 0.025% cream & hydroquinone. If you are on oral contraceptive pills, you must stop them as the pigment is known to increase with OC pills. It is advisable to consult a dermatologist if the spots persist..
3. My legs are very dry.spec.ially my feet n heels.I’ve tried hell lots of moisturizers.but no use.Im lookin for a permanent solution.plshelp
Natural moisturizers would help your feet and heels to remain soft and supple. Regular use of coconut based moisturizers helps in reducing scaliness and roughness of the skin. They have a unique mechanism of moisturizing and hydrating the skin by locking the moisture through penetrating deep into the skin without occluding the surface . This not only make them effective but ensures that the skin stays moisturized for longer periods. You could also exfoliate once a week using a coconut scrub.
4. I facing the problemof hair fall since last six month,huge loss of hair,the front side hairs are fall ,I worroied about ,
Stress along with lack of proteins, iron & minerals could be a cause for thinning of your hair. It could also be genetic. Have a high protein diet such as lean meat, eggs, chicken, fish , sprouts, pulses & milk. Take a zinc supplement such as zevit & a biotin supplement such as H-Vit daily. A warm coconut oil massage works wonders as a conditioner and provides the necessary nourishment & moisture to your scalp and hair. It is recommended to oil your hair at least 2 hours before you wash your hair to regain the moisture. You may try applying 2% minoxidil solution on the scalp at bedtime .
