Nutrition Q&A: Diet to lower creatinine levels

1. Hi Sir/madam, My mom is 58 years old woman having creatinine count of 1.67. She’s not diabetic, but has she has high blood pressure sometimes, more often at night. And also, our doctors told us about her fatty liver. I am really worried about this, specially abt the liver,can u Gave me some dietary suggestions for my mom, what type of food to take to control elevating creatinine level. Thank you in advance for your help.

Reduce meat, poultry and fish intake to decrease creatinine level. There will be an underlying reason for creatinine to go high so she needs to be treated for that for example kidney disease (due to long term hypertension). For fatty liver reduce fats and oils and have more vegetables and fruits.
